About
If you're seeking a delightful vegetarian dining experience in Dubai, look no further than Puranmal Vegetarian Restaurant. Nestled in the vibrant Meena Bazaar, a central hub between Al Ghubaiba and Sharaf DG metro stations, this charming eatery brings together the best of Indian vegetarian cuisine in a cozy and welcoming setting.
Upon entering Puranmal, I was immediately struck by the traditional ambiance. The seating on the first floor offers a snug yet inviting atmosphere, enhanced by the low ceiling that adds to its cozy charm. The restaurant's popularity is evident, often bustling with patrons, which speaks volumes about the quality and taste of the food.
The menu is a treasure trove of Indian delicacies, featuring traditional dishes that resonate with authenticity. Diners rave about the selection of wholesome items, including Paratha, Golgappe, and the famed Indian Thali. Despite occasional critiques—like the overly sweet pizza experienced by one customer—the majority of dishes are celebrated for their rich flavors and fresh ingredients. During my visit, I enjoyed the vegetarian spread that left a lasting impression, each bite reflecting a dedication to quality and hygiene.
One review particularly stood out, highlighting the restaurant's impeccable service. The staff is noted for their attentiveness, ensuring a seamless dining experience. A recent introduction of a tempting AED 12 Breakfast Offer showcases Puranmal's commitment to providing value without compromising taste. It's a fantastic option for a hearty start to your day, featuring a diverse menu that caters to various palates, served in a warm and friendly environment.
While some customers have noted moments of inconsistency—like the experience with an uncharacteristically salty dosa—the overall sentiment remains positive. Many patrons continue to recommend Puranmal, praising their extensive vegetarian offerings and exquisite sweets, which are seen as the restaurant's standout feature.

“ We went to Puranmal in Meena Bazaar for Sunday lunch. The location is quite central, almost midway between Al Ghubaiba and Sharaf DG (previously Al Fahidi) metro stations, which makes it convenient to reach by metro. The seating is on the first floor, and although the ceiling is a bit low, it actually adds to the cozy and traditional ambience. The restaurant was fully packed (likely because it was a weekend), so there was a bit of delay in getting our food served, understandable but worth noting. We ordered paneer bhurjee, dal tadka, paneer tikka masala, masala chaas, and peda lassi. Everything tasted good, except the paneer bhurjee which was just okay & could have been better. The rest of the dishes were nice and flavorful. One highlight here is their wide collection of Indian sweets, including special sweets prepared for festivals, definitely worth trying or even packing to take home. Parking can be a bit tricky, especially on weekends. It’s best to use paid private parking nearby to avoid hassle. On weekdays, RTA parking is usually available. Also, there’s a multistory parking under construction right opposite Puranmal (as of May 2025), which should help once it’s operational. Overall, a great place to bring friends and family, especially if they enjoy vegetarian food and Indian mithai. Service could be faster during peak hours, but still very much a must-try spot in Bur Dubai’s Meena Bazaar. ”
“ Refreshing and tasty Indian food experience served with proper hygiene and quality. Will surely go again and recommend it too; overall experience on a scale of 1-10; I will rate it well above 8. ”
“ An amazing restaurant for Indian vegetarian food. We tried Paratha, Golgappe, Indian Thali, and Pizza. While all the Indian dishes were delicious and had an authentic taste, the pizza was disappointing—it was overly sweet and not properly baked. The ambiance was clean and pleasant, the staff was very helpful, and the food was served promptly. ”
“ Slightly expensive. The ambience is great. Food is good. Sweets are the best. Would be great if they had some offers. We went again recently. The food was terrible. Dosa was salty and there was just sambar. They took full amount from us. Coffee was very very bad. ”
“ Located inside Meena Bazar,Bur Dubai, Puranmal is a pure vegetarian restaurant chain in Dubai. We visited Puranmal for Lunching. They have good fooding options. Can visit if looking for a Pure Vegetarian food option. ”
